BARELY HUMAN

BH is a Sydney-based zine and mixtape imprint by, for and about the international DIY underground running since 2015. Under the guise of unraveling "a system of unculture", each release taps into something unique about subcultural activity, countercultural potential and the forever elusive boundaries of what it means to make, live, act and create a world antagonistic to mass cultural norms. With punk as it's fulcrum, BH looks at anything from traditional and folk music, variants of rock, post-punk and hardcore, blues, garage and various other experiments with form (and for function). In keeping with this theme of building an underground missive, BH is now off all social media networks and operates primarily as a direct to mail subscription of mail order service, with this blog and an email newsletter to support it.
